In a 145-goal hunt set by the Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club, the Gazi Group Cricketers champions suffered a bat collapse and eventually lost 36 runs in the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division T20 League match under the spotlight at the Sher-e-Bangla National in Mirpur today.
Although Doleshwar openers – Imran Uzzaman and Towfiq Khan – failed to capitalize on their decent starts, a third 65-stop tripod between young Saif Hassan and Fazle Mahmud provided Doleshwar with a solid foothold in a slow Mirpur stadium.

Saif scored a lap 37, while Fazl hit a 31-ball 39, tied with three limits and six. Later, a quick shot 25 by Shamim Hossain helped Doleshwar post a competitive 144 for six.
For the Gazi group, captains Mahmudullah Riyad, Nasum Ahmed and Mukidul Islam made two vows.
Following the exchange, Gazi Group’s leading win team collapsed tremendously as they lost their first four wickets – those of Shahdat Hossain (13 out of 10), Soumya Sarkar (9 out of 10), Mominul Haque (7 out of 10) and Mahmudullah (0 off 2) – score only 39 runs in 6.1 over.
Ariful Haque 37’s 37-ball at death did not equate to the Group’s throttle for 108 runs in 18.5 over.
Shamim Hossain, who remained practical with the willow, took a few wickets giving only 17 runs in four over and the player of the match was announced.
