“There is a small hairline fracture in the Mushfiqur index according to the CT scan. We asked him to do a rest of a week, after which we will re-evaluate his condition. As it is a hairline fracture, we expect him to recover quickly,” he said. Debasis told the media today.
The former Bangladeshi captain will have to stay out of the rest of the Super League.
It is unclear, however, whether he will recover in time for the Zimbabwe Tigers’ tour. Bangladesh is expected to leave for Zimbabwe on June 29 for a test, three ODIs and three T20s. The only test will start on July 7.
Earlier, Tamim Iqbal and Taskin Ahmed were eliminated from the BDPL Super League with a knee injury and a hand injury respectively.
