E-commerce market Evaly welcomed the Commerce Department’s decision today to clear payments to local e-commerce companies as soon as the goods are delivered to buyers.

“Thus, payment is not made before the product is delivered. Those who have a bank or credit card will check the payment.”
The Ministry of Commerce found the new mechanism today at a meeting on e-commerce issues at the Ministry of Commerce.
From now on, payment gateways will not clear payments to e-commerce companies until buyers receive the delivery of the goods they are ordering.
These transactions will be supervised by the Bank of Bangladesh.
Representatives from Bangladesh Bank, Regulatory Commission Telecommunication Bangladesh, National Board of Revenue, Home Office, e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh, MFS, various banks attended the meeting with Commerce Minister Tapan Kanti Ghosh under the chairmanship.
“So far there is no e-commerce policy in Bangladesh, which Evaly itself has long advocated,” Rassel said.
