Green chilly now sells over 200 Tk per kilo in different markets across Bangladesh amid a sudden shortage of supply.

Today, local company JK Enterprise imported two green refrigerated trucks from India through Bhumra Land port, according to a trade ministry statement.
About 12 green trucks with cold cargo are now waiting to enter Bangladesh from India through various land ports, the statement added.
In addition, three import companies bring about 650 tonnes of green refrigeration from India through the Sonamasjid Land Port, according to the statement.
Of this, BH Trading and Company will import 150 tonnes, Golden Enterprise 200 tonnes and Sazzad Enterprises 300 tonnes and are expected to arrive in Bangladesh by tomorrow, the statement said.
Traders and farmers said green frost production had declined to some extent due to light rainfall in cold growing areas such as the north and south of the country.
