    KATHMANDU: Floods and landslides caused by torrential rains across Nepal have left at least 38 people dead, including seven children, and injured more than 50 others in the past 20 days, the interior ministry said on Saturday.
    The ministry said 51 people were injured and 24 people, including three children, went missing in floods and landslides in various parts of the country.
    Similarly, 1,250 people have been evacuated from various parts of the country affected by the natural disaster, he said.
    Five people were killed in Sindhupalchowk district, four in Doti district, three in Gorkha and Rolpa, two in Chitawan, Tanhun, Pyuthan and Rautahat, one in Lalitpur, Khotang, Saptari, Kavre, Dhading, Sindhuli, Jumla, Argum , Dang, Palpa, Kaski, Kalikot, Panchthar, Bajhang and Bajur districts, the ministry said.
    A total of 790 homes have been flooded, 519 homes, 90 cushions and 19 bridges destroyed by floods and landslides, he said.
    Nepalese army personnel, Nepalese police and armed police forces mobilized to carry out rescue operations. More than 5,100 people have been displaced by the natural disaster during this period.
